The final decision on all grants rests with the Board of Trustees on the advice of the
Grants Advisory Committee.
-
The Foundation will, for the time being, consider grant applications twice a year.
-
As a basic guideline for grantmaking, the Foundation will seek a balanced view of
current community needs as a basis for its own priorities in making grants.
-
The Foundation will each year, based on priorities and funds available, determine the
size range of grants.
-
Grants are normally given for construction, equipment or furnishings; for special, new
or demonstration projects; or as start-up funding.
-
The Board of Trustees will consider special emergency situations between normal
granting dates at the request of the Grants Advisory Committee Chair.
-
The Foundation would like organizations to submit a brief written report when the
project is complete.
- Please be aware of the Foundation's policy regarding grants which may be made to qualified donees for activities to be carried out by an intermediary organization that is not a qualified donee. The policy can be found here.
